Throttle & Iron Podcast — Co-Host Release & Conduct Agreement
Agreement Version: v1.0 Date: February 2026
Tone: Firm, friendly, professional, and neutral. Purpose: Protect the podcast, its guests, and its reputation while respecting personal viewpoints and friendships.
1) What This Agreement Is For
This Agreement sets clear expectations for weekly co-hosts appearing on the live, motorcycle-focused Throttle & Iron Podcast (the “Podcast”). The intent is to keep the show accurate, respectful, and enjoyable, and to protect the show, the hosts, guests, partners, and the community.
Producer: For purposes of this Agreement, “Producer” refers to the Host and owner of the Throttle & Iron Podcast.
2) Role Definition — Co-Host
As a Co-Host, you may participate in live and/or recorded episodes by asking questions, sharing motorcycle-related opinions and experiences, and engaging guests and the audience in a respectful, professional manner. You understand your role supports the Producer’s direction of the episode and the overall tone and reputation of the Podcast.
3) Professionalism, Accuracy, and Respectful Conduct
- Professional conduct: Speak and act in a manner consistent with a professional, publicly distributed podcast.
- Accuracy: Make a good-faith effort to be accurate. If you are unsure, say so, or defer to the Producer.
- Respect: No harassment, hate, threats, or personal attacks. Disagreements must stay respectful.
- Guest-first: Do not talk over guests or derail their time. Follow the Producer’s cues.
4) Motorcycle-Focused Show (Not Political Advocacy or Ideological Debate)
You acknowledge the Podcast is motorcycle-focused and is not intended as a platform for political advocacy or ideological debate. The Producer may redirect or end lines of discussion that move the show away from motorcycles, riding culture, safety, training, travel, gear, industry news, events, or related topics.
5) Producer Authority (Live Control and Editorial Control)
To protect the Podcast, its guests, and its reputation, you agree the Producer has full authority to manage the show in real time and after recording. This includes the authority to redirect the conversation, cut to a different topic, mute, remove, edit, pause, or terminate your participation if necessary, with or without warning. This authority exists to protect the Podcast, its guests, and all participants, and does not reflect personal judgment of the Co-Host.
6) Protections for High-Profile and Executive-Level Guests
When high-profile, executive-level, or otherwise sensitive guests appear, you agree to follow the Producer’s instructions regarding introductions, question order, timing, and boundaries. You will not press for confidential, proprietary, or personal information, and you will avoid “gotcha” questions or adversarial framing that could damage the guest’s reputation or the Podcast’s relationships. You will not attempt to “corner,” provoke, or surprise guests with sensitive topics.
7) Recording, Release, and Permission to Use Your Participation
You understand the Podcast may be recorded, streamed live, clipped, edited, transcribed, reposted, sponsored, and distributed across platforms. You grant permission for the Podcast to use your name, voice, likeness, and statements as captured during participation for Podcast-related purposes (including promotion), without additional approval.
8) Liability Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Podcast, the Producer, hosts, partners, and representatives from claims arising out of your participation, including claims related to statements made on-air, technical issues, scheduling changes, or editorial decisions (including muting, removal, or edits), except where prohibited by law.
9) Indemnification (Protecting the Show)
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Podcast, the Producer, hosts, and representatives from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your conduct, your statements, or your violation of this Agreement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10) No Employment Relationship
Your participation as a co-host does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship. You are not entitled to employee benefits, and you are responsible for your own taxes and expenses, if any.
11) Governing Law (Indiana)
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12) Final Notes (Firm but Respectful)
This Agreement is intended to be clear and workable for live podcast use with repeat co-hosts. The goal is simple: protect the show, the hosts, the guests, and the community while keeping the tone friendly, professional, and motorcycle-first.
13) Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
